On the evening of December 10th, the Youth Volunteer Association of the Accounting College, known as the 'Rising Sun' Volunteer Service Team, held the 'Rising Sun Benevolence: With You and Me' Volunteer Service Gala and the 7th collective birthday celebration in Room 121 of the Chongde Building at the Sunlight Campus. Gu Jiangbo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Accounting College, Chen Yufan, counselor, representatives of outstanding volunteers, and all members of the 'Rising Sun' Volunteer Service Team participated in the event.
Gu Jiangbo highly praised the activities, contributions, and achievements of the 'Rising Sun' Volunteer Service Team over the past year, offering blessings and condolences to all volunteers. He emphasized that with the development of the times and changing perspectives, volunteer service now goes beyond mere physical effort and standing guard; it requires volunteers to integrate professional knowledge and personal strengths. Continuous improvement in service quality and overall qualities is essential, aiming to design volunteer projects that are both high-quality and innovative. Gu Jiangbo encouraged students to not only assist others but also focus on enhancing their personal capabilities, growing into sunshine youth who are 'beneficial' to society.
Guidance counselor Chen Yufan, along with Deng Chen from ACCA2101 class and Chen Yuan from Accounting 12102 class, took the stage to share their insights and experiences working with the 'Rising Sun' Volunteer Service Team. They expressed that with the strong support from the college and the collective efforts of fellow students, 'Rising Sun' has become a symbolic brand for the practical education work of the Accounting College. As students grow and progress, they leverage their interests, talents, and intelligence to contribute youthful energy to the team's development. Chen Yufan mentioned, 'Rising Sun' possesses a powerful cohesion; many students, even if not in an official role, maintain the pure-hearted spirit of volunteers and actively participate in various grassroots practical activities.
Students from the school's street dance club and volunteer service team delivered thrilling performances, elevating the atmosphere of the gala. Following the performances, the much-anticipated game segment commenced, featuring activities such as 'Name Relay,' 'Lucky Sevens,' and 'Duck Catching.' Laughter and cheers filled the venue as participants engaged in lively discussions about the games and the 'penalties' for those who faced setbacks.
At the end of the gala, everyone gathered for a group photo, creating a lasting memory. This event deepened volunteers' understanding of the spirit of 'dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress,' strengthening team cohesion. With the unremitting efforts of faculty and students, it is believed that 'Rising Sun' will continue to exert its brand influence, serving as a significant platform for students' growth, development, and comprehensive progress in the Accounting College.
